The company behind the ventures

Zonova (Pvt) Ltd owns and operates 6 ventures across 4 sectors. This page is about the company itself.

Zonova did not begin as a holding company. It began as a guest house in the hills above Nuwara Eliya, opened in February 2022 and run by the people who lived there.

The company came after. Zonova (Pvt) Ltd was incorporated in January 2023, once there was more than one thing to run, and a photography studio followed that April. Software came later still, in 2025, and it went on to build the marketplace, the Lead app, our WhatsApp gateway and this site.

What holds six unrelated businesses together is not a sector. It is that we operate every one of them ourselves. Engineering, design and finance are shared across the group, so a guest house booking and a marketplace checkout are built by the same people, and one registered company answers for all of it.

Four rules the ventures share

We start what we can run

Every venture here is one we operate ourselves. We do not take passive stakes in businesses we cannot answer for.

One team behind six names

Engineering, design and finance are shared across the group. A guest house booking and a marketplace checkout are built by the same people.

We build our own tools

zonova.lk, the Lead app, our WhatsApp gateway and this site are all built in house. We use what we sell.

We stay after launch

A venture is not finished when it opens. Every one of these is still being worked on.

Who answers for the group

Three directors carry the group. Between them they cover finance, technology and operations, and each one works inside the ventures rather than above them.
